DAY 1: ARRIVE GUWAHATI – SHILLONG (150 KM / 2-3 Hrs)
Meet and greet upon arrival by our driver and then transfer to Shillong (150 Kms). The ‘Scotland of the East’ lies in the centre of a plateau surrounded by Khasi hills. En-route visit Umium lake Barapani Park. After lunch go for sightseeing.
The gorgeous city offers amazing tourist spots. The sightseeing includes Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Culture, Ward’s Lake is popular for short garden walks & boating, Botanical Garden offers plethora of indigenous and exotic plants & rare collection of orchids, Lady Hydari Park is a Japanese style landscaped park endowed with stretches of roses & exquisite flowers. The Mini Zoo adjacent to the park has about 73 birds, 140 reptiles & mammals, Golf Course - One of the largest Golf courses in Asia is an 18 hole Golf Course is charted amidst a surging valley full of thick pine groves & rhododendron trees. Spend the evening in the splendid arena, Elephant Falls is a mountain stream gorging down two successive falls set in dells of fern covered rocks; Shillong Peak displays a mesmerizing view of the scenic country side.
Umain Lake popularly known as Barapani, this is the biggest artificial lake in the State. Surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies. Developed upon the reservoir of the Umiam Hydro Electric Project, the Water Sports Complex provides a choice of row-boats, paddle-boats, cruise boats, sailing boats, water scooters and speed boats. This is a very popular place for picnic, fishing and water sports. M.T.D.C. had started operating water-sports in the area. Overnight accommodation will be in Shillong.
DAY 2: SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE – SHILLONG (~150 KMS)
After Breakfast, excursion to Cherrapunjee. The sightseeing points: Ramakrishna School and Museum, Eco Park, Nohsngithiang Falls, Nohkalikai Waterfalls, Mawkdok Dympep Valley View, Mawsmai Cave and Arwah Cave. Later return back to Shillong Hotel.
Cherrapunjee is framed as the wettest place on Earth is 60 kms from Shillong. The journey from Shillong to Cherrapunjee offers a pleasant drive as one witness numerous waterfalls & gorges. Longer stay gives opportunity to the visitor to explore limestone caves & waterfalls, the amazing living root bridges and galore of water & adventure activities. While the must visit places are the gorgeous Seven Sisters falls and the Mawsmai cave is in your tour plan. Overnight accommodation will be in Shillong.
DAY 3: SHILLONG – MAWLYNNONG – DAWKI – SHILLONG (~205 KMS)
After breakfast, excursion to Dawki (Tamabil – Indo Bangladesh Border and Umngot River), en-route visit Mawlynnong. Later return back to Shillong.
Mawlynnong village, situated 90 kms ahead of Shillong, on the Shillong-Dawki Road, 30 kms from Pynursla, is a village of 75 households with a population of 400. An idyllic location, this village epitomizes a standard, which all other villages need to aspire to be. Dubbed the cleanest village in India by Discover India Magazine, the primary Village School till class V boasts of its no dropout record and the village of 90 % literacy. Paved walkways and beautiful flowerbed all along mark the village, with waterfalls, a living root bridge, hilly rivulets, acacia plantation and an excellent view of the faraway plains of Bangladesh all contribute to the ambience of this village. Farming of betel nut & leaves, broomsticks and pepper along with bee rearing are the primary economic activity of the village. Overnight accommodation will be in Shillong.
DAY 4: SHILLONG – KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK (~ 300 KMS / 7-8 Hrs)
After Breakfast, drive to Kaziranga National Park, the home of "One Horned Rhinoceros" and park with the highest density of Royal Bengal Tigers. Evening free for leisure or explore the local market. Overnight accommodation will be in Kaziranga.
DAY 5: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK
Early morning Elephant Ride (Either Central “KOHORA” or Western Range “BAGORI”)

Probable sighting during the Elephant Ride: One Horn Rhino is the major attraction, apart from that other species are Hog Deer, Swamp Deer, Asiatic Water Buffalo, Asian Elephants and if you are lucky then Royal Bengal Tiger. Later return back to hotel/Resort for breakfast.
Ride timings: 5.30 AM/6.30 AM/ 7.30 AM
After breakfast you can visit “Kaziranga orchid and Biodiversity Park”. Afternoon 2.00 PM you will have JEEP SAFARI/GAME DRIVE in Central range/Western Range. Overnight accommodation will be in Kaziranga.
Kaziranga National Park , A World Heritage Site covering 430 square kilometres on the southern bank of the Brahmaputra, 217km east of Guwahati, occupies a vast valley floor against a backdrop of the Karbi Anglong Hills. Its rivulets, shallow lakes and semi-evergreen forested highlands blend into marshes and flood plains covered with tall elephant grass teeming with deer and wild buffalos. However, the big draw, is the park’s famous yet highly endangered one-horned rhinos, best observed from the back of an elephant first thing on a winter’s morning. Tiger sightings are relatively rare, despite the park’s official claim to have the highest density of tigers of any park in the world. Jeeps take you deeper into the forest than elephants, but cannot get nearly as close to the rhinos and buffalo. The abundant birdlife includes egrets, herons, storks, fish eagles, kingfishers and a grey pelican colony.
It has become synonymous with successful conservations of Great One Horn Rhinoceros / Unicornis and also a home of many other threatened species including Indian Elephant, Royal Bengal Tiger, Hoolock Gibbon, Ganges dolphin, Sambar, Barasingha or Swamp Deer, Hog Deer, Indian Muntjac, Water Buffalo and Gaur etc. Among the reptiles’ species like Water Monitor Lizard, Indian python, Cobra and the King Cobra are found.
AY 6: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK – GUWAHATI (250 KMS / 4-5 Hrs)
After breakfast, road to Guwahati. After arriving, check in hotel and you can go for sightseeing according to time. Among the city sightseeing there is the State Emporium, Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra (A museum of Assam diverse culture). Among the Temples are - Maa Kamakhya temple, or you can also visitUmananda Island (The smallest inhabited island of India) – There is a Shiva temple in the island and the only way to go there is through a ferry. Evening you can have walk around the market and can find shops with fine “Muga Silk” dresses. Overnight accommodation will be in Guwahati.
DAY 7: GUWAHATI DEPARTURE
After Breakfast, transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway station for your departure.
